We invite qualified applicants to consider our Mid-Level Geologist position, described below.

Position summary: This position will be responsible for working with senior staff and management in various aspects of project evaluation, planning and mining operations with focus on sandstone hosted uranium deposits. 

Representative Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of geological data including maps, down-hole geophysical logs, drill cuttings and core.
  • Assist with mineral resource mapping and estimation for various properties.
  • Assist with technical reporting. Contribute to regulatory compliance, reporting and permitting efforts.
  • Ability to plan and oversee exploration and development drilling programs and well installation.
  • Assist mine geologists in aspects of site-specific production geology tasks including planning and installation of production well patterns and well completion design.
  • Assist in mentoring geology staff team members.
  • Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to advance projects.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts in respect of acquisition possibilities.

Job Location:  The primary work location for this position will be our Casper, Wyoming Operations Headquarters. Intermittent field work may be required at our Lost Creek and Shirley Basin mines in south-central Wyoming.

Education and Qualifications:

  • MS in Geology or Geological Engineering, or BS with experience commensurate to a Master’s Degree.
  • Four to eight years of geologic experience in minerals or mining, with significant exposure to the uranium and ISR industry preferred.
  • Experience with groundwater systems a plus.
  • Strong computer skills including GIS software such as ArcGIS, as well as CAD software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Professional level oral and written communication skills.
